The Local History Resource Centre combines collections from Porirua Library and Pataka Porirua Museum, includes local newspapers dating from 1949 onwards, photographs, maps, oral histories, subject files and cemetery records.

The Centre is available to use during the library's opening hours but if you need assistance or wish to arrange a group visit, contact the Local Heritage Librarian, Monday to Friday between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.
