Get ready for next week’s NZSQ visit by learning to identify some of the instruments you might see. If you dream of being a musician, begin your journey by joining us for a story that illustrates the steps along the way, followed by some fun rounds of musical instrument bingo, with book prizes for everyone.
Every good writer needs two things – a notebook, and plenty of prompts. Join us for a writing workshop where we’ll prompt you to complete your own interactive journal.
All materials will be supplied. This is a precursor workshop to next week’s session with Angel Yuan and is suitable for confident young writers aged seven and up. Limited numbers. RSVP to [email protected]
The New Zealand String Quartet is excited to visit Porirua Library these school holidays with a free, whānau-friendly performance of music from the past and present. With introductions by the musicians themselves, you’ll learn about centuries-old instruments, and discover classical music that might sound surprisingly familiar.
NZSQ Encounters is a relaxed performance for all ages. If you’re looking for a taster of classical music, or want to introduce the artform to your tamariki, then these concerts are for you. Generously supported by Darvill Mellors & Co.
